Lido Charity Corp provides financial aid to the underprivileged individuals in Viet Nam. Our organization provides funds to fully pay the individuals ‘medical bills, especially sponsors the needy individuals who are in need of cataract surgery.
Lido Charity Corporation’s Board of Directors will pay medical bills directly to the medical providers, not to the individuals who receive medical assistance. We do rely on local volunteers who perform screening and interviewing process to qualify candidates for cataract surgeries. Some of the requirements are low income and residence of rural areas.
Our goal is to help approximately 1,000+ individuals per year at the average cost of $40 per person. Our main focus is to provide cataract surgeries, but we also perform community outreach services such as disaster relief resulting from floods and other natural disasters by providing food, toys, clothing to the homeless, the low income individuals, children, the disabled and the elderly.
The Board of Directors goes to Viet Nam once a year and stays approximately six weeks to ensure all activities are properly executed. The directors cover their own travel and lodging expenses.
